Friday fashion round up

Its time for Little Girl Lost's Friday fashion round up!

Hopefully I'll be able to post this round up every week of the looks I think worked on the hottest celebrities - and those that fell a bit flat.

First off it's Nicole Richie looking hot to trot in head to toe leather. The newly- returned-to-TV star showed up at the NBC Universal summer press day in this fashion forward look with statement accessories proving she is every inch the fashion icon nowadays.

Then its on to Kim Kardashian who attended the Us Weekly magazine Hot Hollywood Style issue event in LA wearing this silver strapless Catherine Malandrino number. I'm not usually a fan of Kim's fashion choices, finding her particular brand of sexy a bit in your face, but something about the way she has paired the dress with those neon pink shoes has me hooked and wanting more. You can see the full article, along with other well dressed guests here.

Next up we have three similar 'prom' style looks from Jennifer Morrison, who was at the same Us Weekly party, Mena Suvari who was attending the Spanish premiere of her new movie, American Reunion, and finally, Emily Blunt looking stunning at the premiere of her film The Five-Year Engagement at the Tribeca Film Festival. The black and green foliage print dress was from designer Jason Wu and perfectly complimented her gorgeous and flawless skin tone. Again kudos to Emily on her shoe choice and for her make up including a very on trend hot pink lip. You can see more looks from the premiere here including the ever delightful Olivia Wilde.

Now for the looks that left me feeling a bit let down this week and first off its Emma Roberts at the Jesus Henry Christ premiere in LA. Considering she was at a premiere I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed by Emma's look. I guess she was attempting "grown up and sophisticated" but it comes off a bit like she's going for a job interview - and the less said about those shoes the better. You can see more from the premiere, including what her aunty Julia wore here.

Same problem with Gwyneth Paltrow who was running errands in Santa Monica in unsightly footwear (originally image from the Daily Mail). I have nothing against the moccasins as a rule, I'm just suggesting they might have been better suited for a festival - or better yet kept behind closed doors. Black sandals or some cute biker boots might have looked better with those short shorts.

Next up we have Katy Perry who was attending the ASCAP Pop Music Awards. I know this may be a controversial choice on my part but I can't help but think the colour of the dress washes her out and the style doesn't do much for her amazing figure. Normally I love Katy's fashion choices (she rocked Paris Fashion Week) but I think she could have chosen something a bit more directional, especially with her new violet locks. I look forward to her next outing, when I am sure she we will be back on top form.

And lastly there are no words to describe Anne Hathaway's new look - all done to play the role of dying prostitute Fantine in the movie adaptation of Les Miserables. Please return to your usual polished, sexy self ASAP Anne, you are killing me here!

What do you think of this week's fashion round up? Can you think of anyone that's been missed off the list?
