Last week Department store Liberty announced it was partnering with Dr. Martens on a capsule collection of footwear and accessories for men and women.
The snappily named ‘Liberty London for Dr. Martens floral prints’ collaboration brings together the two British institutions and will be sold exclusively at Liberty London’s Regent Street store, from May 1st.
Two main prints are available; ‘Strawberry Thief’, originally created by textile designer William Morris in 1883; and ‘Martens Flower’, originally created forLiberty
Both prints can be seen on the traditional eight-hole and three-hole Dr. Martens boots and shoes, as well as the recently introduced Kensington and desert boot styles.

In addition to footwear, the prints have also been used to create four leather
satchel bags in two different sizes.
I am not totally sold on the footwear - partly because it reminds me a
lot of Liberty ’s collaboration with
Clark's that went ahead earlier this year - but I could be
swayed by that satchel…
